Beauty Flash facial Treatment Offer at The Treatment Rooms, Brighton

February 14, 2011toFebruary 28, 2011

‘Beauty Flash’ facial by Crystal Clear. A microdermabrasion with eye contour massage using the Eye Contour Pen. Suitable for men & women wanting a quick facial to remove dead skin cells, soften lines and refine open pores. Eye area is hydrated and firmed. £35

Ever wondered how those famous faces stay looking so young? Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion literally takes years off you by gently exfoliating the outer layers of skin.

Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion treats a vast array of skin concerns, using a safe and controlled method of skin resurfacing.

The treatment provides immediate visible results for ageing skin, lines & wrinkles, open pores, blackheads, pigmentation, blemish scars, acne scars, and much, much more.

You’ll see the difference even after just one treatment, however for more problematic skin concerns a course may be recommended. With regular treatments, the skin increases its collagen and elastin formation, to give you a naturally firmer and more rejuvenated look. What’s more, the gentle vacuum action gives the facial muscles a mini ‘workout’ each time, providing an immediate lifting effect and an ongoing improvement in tone.

Dress for Excess: Fashion in Regency England

February 11, 2011toFebruary 5, 2012

This major fashion exhibition – Dress for Excess: Fashion in Regency England, celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Regency Act by looking at the life of George IV as prince, regent and king through fashions of the late Georgian period. Men’s and women’s costumes are displayed throughout the palace exploring themes from George’s life and the stylistic influences of the period.

A new exhibition space, the Prince Regent Gallery, is dedicated to George and also shows items of dress he wore, from a beautifully printed banyan of the 1770s to his huge breeches worn towards the end of his life. The most spectacular item is George’s extravagant coronation robe, on loan from Madame Tussauds, Merlin Entertainments Group and not seen in public for 30 years.

This is only the second time a fashion exhibition has been held in the former royal palace and it brings to life not only the Royal Pavilion’s architecture but its rich collections of furniture, textiles and decorative arts.

Brighton Pier Photo Competition

February 2, 2011toMarch 22, 2011

Nothing symbolises the traditions of the British seaside more than Brighton Pier and we are launching a creative photo competition with the aim of capturing the essence of Brighton Pier as YOU see it. This competition is to be held to coincide with the activities of British Tourism Week held from the 12th to the 20th March of this year.

We are asking you to focus your lens, put your finger on the trigger and take a unique snap shot. Let your imagination run wild and capture the essence of Brighton Pier. Whether it be a lazy day on the deck chairs, the thrill of the turbo coaster or a seagull stealing your freshly cooked chips from Palm court.

There is £500 worth of camera equipment up for grabs for the first prize winner and two runner up prizes of your image printed onto a canvas. The competition will be judged by a panel that includes a Brighton photographer as a guest judge.

The competition closing date is on the 22nd of March.

To enter the competition please email your photo to yourphoto@brightonpier.co.uk along with your name and contact information.
