Energia – Holiday on Ice 2011 Review

January 12, 2011toJanuary 30, 2011

Having thoroughly enjoyed Holiday on Ice 2010, I was thrilled to be invited to the Premiere of this year’s show ‘Energia‘, which promised a 3D stage set plus a spectacle that was more show stopping than 2010. I took my seat and keenly waited. I was not disappointed – the opening scene certainly had wow factor and once again I marvelled at the grace, skill and sheer energy of the performers. It’s an incredible 2 hours of colour, light, music and fast paced skating that combines the elegance of ballet, acrobatic agility and the entertainment and humour of the circus. A visual feast for all the family, grab a ticket now!

CALL FOR  PROPOSALS

WHAT

PAVEMENT is a six-month programme for which Permanent is inviting artists to propose works for exhibition in its window space. Proposals can be made for the exhibition of existing or new works.

Each selected artist/artist group will have their work exhibited for six-weeks and will have a profile on the Permanent website. Exhibitions will be primarily viewed from the street (Bedford Place) or by appointment. Each new exhibition will be launched with a preview event.

Permanent is a not-for-profit organisation that supports artists to realise experimental exhibitions of contemporary art. In addition to producing exhibitions at our base at 20 Bedford Place, Brighton, Permanent also organises satellite exhibitions with partner venues within the city of Brighton and Hove.

ELIGIBILITY

PAVEMENT is open to individuals and groups of all ages, at any stage of their career and based anywhere in the world.

This is an unfunded project: to participate selected artists or artist groups will need to be able to cover all the transportation, travel or materials costs involved in realising their proposal.
